Hi,
I have a situation where in there is only one 'Administrator' available for DOORS, he uses his network ID for logging in as Administrator. During his absence if its required to login as 'Administrator' its not possible and sharing password is not feasible solution. Is there any alternative for this??
Kindly let me know

Same question from my side, Can we have multiple users as 'Administrator'?
is this supported in DOORS 9.3.0.4?

This depends on what your Admin shall do and how you organized access to your projects.
There is only one real admin in doors, it is the user with the username 'Administrator'. This one has the power to do almost everything in DOORS and should not be used except when explicitely needed.
Look at the user definitions of your existing admin. Which powers does he have (e.g. create projects, create users, ...).
Give the same definitions to the alternate admin.
Then your admin will probably have some additional access rights in your DOORS projects (e.g. "A" rights). If these rights are given to him by one or more special groups, the alternate admin should be member of the same groups.
If the account of your admin is entered into the project's definitions with his account name instead of a group name, he will have a lot of work duplicating these access rights before he is allowed to go on vacation :-)

In an emergency I took 3 days off during that period it was required to use 'Administrator' account by my team mate which I could not give to him.
Is there any work around for this?

Sorry, I did not work with RDS in connection with DOORS, is it possible to just change the DOORS User name of your collegue to Administrator as well?
Or to log in as Administrator, bypassing the RDS?
Everytime I go for vacation I will make my collegue as Administrator by changing the DOORS menu->Tools->systemusername. when I am back he will change it to my name again. this is working fine for the normal cases. If am on some emergency leave and it is required to login as Admin we are landing up in problem.

The fundamental problem is that Doors admins cannot access nor change the doors "Administrator" user account.
When we used system user names at the old company it seemed to me we created a dummy "Doors-Admin" system login account, and gave the various Doors Admins the password to log into their PC with that account. The Doors "Administrator" account had "Doors-Admin" as it's system user name. This "Doors-Admin" PC account had no special privaleges; specifically did not have "admin" control of the PC.

Seems to me I failed in attempts to change the Doors admin super-user name from "Administrator" to something else, like "llandale".
